I bid you a warm welcome to my corner of the blogosphere. My name is Daniel G. and I have the honour of working as a civil funeral celebrant. This vocation brings great rewards along with tremendous responsibilities. After all, it is my job to help people farewell their loved one in a fitting manner. I have buried people at sea, in green cemeteries, and once conducted a memorial on an aeroplane. In the course of my work, I have realised that many people are not aware of their options when it comes to funerals and memorials. When I conduct a special service, congregants often express great delight that a service can be so personalised and unique. This blog is my humble attempt to provide you with suggestions for a distinctive funeral or memorial service. I hope that these pages provide inspiration for this most important of ceremonies. Thank you.
